A review of what is happening in today's sports world from an "Average Joe" sports fanatic. I want to bring to the table what a regular guy thinks about the games, athletes, and coaches, etc...,and bring it with a fresh, and hopefully interesting perspective.

Athletes in Trouble
So I'm driving home listening to the radio and I hear the words "plead guilty to drunk driving". I'm thinking what overpaid athlete got stupid this time. I really think that they believe that the money they make helps keep them sober. Like "man I'm wasted, let me pull out my wallet and sniff my money so I wont be drunk anymore". I know that sounds absurd, and it really does not work that way, but the incidents are ever increasing. Now I'm not stupid(some might think so), and I realize that regular people go out and drive drunk like idiots everyday, but these athletes have to realize sometime, that they are under a microscope. They also have to understand, whether they want to accept it or not, that they are role models for children. All this crap that they are doing is affecting young people. You hear guys say all the time, "I am not a role model", well I have news for you, you are so GET OVER IT. I can understand the need to go out and let off some steam every once in a while, but you have to be smarter than that. Call a cab, we all know that you can afford it, or hire a transport service for the night. They should know that alcohol makes you stupid, so they need to think before they start. I'm not going to beat a dead horse, but I just got so mad because of the incident of the athlete in Florida killing a pedestrian. Did no one learn from that guys mistake. The thing that really gets me boiled is how they talk about how they made a mistake, and how they are going to learn from it, and hope that others will learn from there mistake as well. Are you kidding me. If they are going to preach about learning from there mistake, maybe they should have taken a closer look at the previous idiot athlete and learned from them, so that they did not make the same mistake. There are no excuses. There is nothing to learn from what they have done. That lesson has already been taught, and if they don't start paying attention to the class called life, they will be killing someone literally, or that little child who just had his whole world crushed because there favorite star is behind bars.
